This website provides social commentary for U.S. We attempt to provide our readers with unbiased opinions based upon facts. Many of the social problems that plague our country today stem from our collective biases. More often than not, these biases are formed from the steady diet of propaganda regularly fed to the American people.
It doesn’t matter if you are black or white, Republican or Democrat, homosexual or heterosexual, rich or poor. Regardless of your sexual orientation, political affiliation, race, or socioeconomic status, propaganda and personal biases are liable to blind you unless you actively seek to identify them and reduce their influence upon you.
A college professor once told me that most people don’t listen to the news for the truth. Rather, they tune in to get confirmation regarding that which they already believe or want to believe.
At usterroir.org, we do not stand in favor of one side or the other. We stand for truth, and if that truth contradicts the popular rhetoric of any particular group, that was most likely our intention. We aim to focus particularly on the country’s most bias-laden, rhetoric-heavy social issues. If you’re tired of unreliable, manipulative sources of information seen all too often in mass media, you’ve come to the right place.
